Takeover talks end for Evocutis

SKIN research company Evocutis today revealed that it was no longer in talks about a possible sale of the business.

In December last year. the Wetherby-based business announced that it was looking at a number of strategic options, include selling the business.

In an announcement today. Evocutis said it was holding a general meeting of the members of the company on Monday, October 28 at the offices of Walker Morris in Leeds.

The general meeting has been convened to consider whether any steps should be taken to “manage the situation” that the net assets of the company are less than half its called up share capital.

The statement added: “The company also announces that it continues to evaluate a number of strategic options open to the company to maximise value for shareholders, but that it is no longer in discussions with potential offerors in relation to a merger with a third party or a sale of the company..The formal sales process has enabled the company to approach a number of parties on a confidential basis and has led to a number of potential strategic alliances being identified.”
