A tale from the Crypt of property sector’s showbusiness talent

TALENTED singers from Yorkshire’s property industry will have their nerves tested in front of an audience of more than 500 at next year’s Crypt Factor.

The annual fundraiser is already on target to be the biggest in the competition’s seven-year history.

The Crypt Factor is Yorkshire’s version of hit ITV show The X Factor and brings the region’s property industry together to raise money for charities LionHeart and St George’s Crypt.

The event is being held at Elland Road on March 21 and could push the net total raised for the charities since 2006 to more than £250,000.

The Yorkshire Post is the event’s media partner and main sponsors are Addleshaw Goddard LLP, Town Centre Securities PLC and Morgans City Living.

The evening promises to include individual performances from Geraint Pinches of Lupton Fawcett Lee & Priestley, Craig Burrow of Bruntwood, Dawn Allen of Pinsent Masons, Rebekah Summerton of Addleshaw Goddard, James Morris of Town Centre Securities and David Weathers of Bartlett Group.

David Aspland from Carter Jonas and Andrew Crowther from Turnbull Crowther Booth will perform as a duo.

There will also be a boy band comprising of Tom Brammeld from Jones Lang LaSalle, Nick Prescott from Gent Visick, Nick Salkeld from Fox Lloyd Jones, Patrick Carter from Savills and Ed Harrowsmith from Knight Frank as well as a girl band made up of employees from Turn Key.

Richard Lewis, property director at Town Centre Securities, said: “Once again LionHeart and St George’s Crypt are receiving fantastic support from the region’s property industry.

“Even though the event is still three months away tables are selling quickly and we’re on target to have a record audience which is certainly going to be daunting for the singers.

“This year’s event could push the total amount raised, which has been split between the two charities, in the last seven years to more than £250,000 which epitomises the generosity of the region’s property industry and would reinforce the Crypt Factor’s reputation as one of North of England’s most successful charity events.”

This year, regular Crypt Factor attendees will be joined by some of the UK’s leading property investors and developers as well as the more active financiers. St George’s Crypt is a charity based within the thriving church of St George’s in Leeds and has been at the frontline of support for homeless, disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Leeds and its surrounding areas since 1930.

LionHeart offers all types of help and support to RICS members and their families who face problems in their lives that are often completely unexpected.

These can include ill health, disability, unemployment, family separation and debt related issues.

The remaining tables of 10 at the Crypt Factor are £1,000 plus VAT and can be reserved now by emailing [email protected] or by calling 0113 209 2397.
