Tales from the Crypt: Wannabe stars can strut their stuff at charity event

THE show that made stars of Dawn Allen, Alex Duckett and, er, Wrong Direction is back.

The organisers of Crypt Factor are looking for solo singers as well as girl and boy bands to perform before an audience of several hundred peers.

The event takes place at Elland Road in March and supports the Lionheart and St George’s Crypt charities, raising more than £300,000 over the last seven years.

It is sponsored by law firm Bond Dickinson, Town Centre Securities plc and Morgans City Living.

Paula Dillon, of Bond Dickinson, said: “We’re keen to hear from anyone who has a good singing voice and would like to be part of this, regardless of whether they’ve been on stage in front of an audience before, because we can help them to live their dream.”

Last year’s show was presented by Mr Duckett, a director of Knight Frank, and won by Ms Allen, a lawyer from Pinsent Masons, although Wrong Direction, a boy band featuring Tom Brammeld of Jones Lang LaSalle, Nick Prescott of Gent Visick, Nick Salkeld of Fox Lloyd Jones, Patrick Carter of Savills and Ed Harrowsmith of Knight Frank, provided some amusing competition.
