Tech company becomes partner of port’s World Trade Centre

TECHNOLOGY company, the Select Group, has strengthened its relationship with World Trade Centre Hull & Humber by becoming an official partner.

The information systems provider, which was formed in 1989 and is based in Castle Street, Hull, has become the latest firm to support the centre’s work to attract trade and investment.

Select designed and installed the IT systems for the World Trade Centre’s original offices in Humber Quay in Hull, and also organised the move of IT equipment to new premises in Queen Street last December. Richard Newsom, Select’s technical director, said: “With its global network, the World Trade Centre provides access to countries around the world and expert advice on doing business with them.

“It is also close to renewables developments and, because of its potential to benefit the region, it has relevance to all companies, not just those that depend on global trade.”

The other partners in the centre are Andrew Jackson, G-West, Language is Everything, Neill & Brown Global Logistics, Mapa, HSBC and Henderson Insurance Brokers. The centre is also home to the Renewables Network and Team Humber Marine Alliance.
