Technology group launches programme for graduates

CIMLOGIC, the West Yorkshire-based specialist technology firm, has launched a graduate sponsorship programme.

The scheme will support students in their final year of study and provide permanent employment after graduation. Ilya Karichev, an engineering student from the University of Sheffield, is the first student to enrol on the programme after completing a summer internship at the firm.

Baildon-based Cimlogic, which employs 26 members of staff, has been working with Yorkshire universities to fill graduate and student work placement positions.

Mike Hodge, director at Cimlogic, said: “Industrial work placements are a great way to prepare undergraduate students for the workplace, as it gives them practical experience which they may not get from studying university text books.

“They’re a perfect opportunity to develop team working skills and to ultimately boost a student’s employability.”
