Tennant to lead asset management drive

KLEINWORT Benson Bank has appointed its new chief executive from Swiss private banking rival Lombard Odier.

Sally Tennant will lead Kleinwort Benson's new strategy of expanding its asset management and corporate advisory services across Europe.

The London-based group offers investment management, tax and banking, trust and fiduciary services. Assets under management total e10bn.

Ms Tennant said: "This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the next stage of development of an illustrious brand. I am looking forward to working with the team to build on its strong track record."

The mother of two began her career at SG Warburg & Co, where she was the first female graduate trainee, and went to work at Morgan Grenfell, Beaumont Capital Management, Gartmore and Schroders.

Kleinworth Benson, which dates back to 1786, has an office in Leeds. It launched the office in 2008 and employs three people who work in wealth management.
