Therco to step up export drive after funding

MANUFACTURER Therco has secured a new finance package which will allow it to develop its export strategy.

The Sheffield-based manufacturer of air cooled and tubular heat exchangers has a turnover of £8m and 15 per cent of its trade is international. But it wants to enter new markets and grow its presence in existing ones.

Therco, which employs 70 people, has secured a flexible funding package from HSBC. Rob Sawtell, one of the founders and managing director of Therco, said: “To achieve our ambitious international plans we knew we needed a bank with strong worldwide links in order to align our cross-border trading arrangements.

“Now, eight years in, the business is continuing its growth journey and we are very much looking forward to working with the team at HSBC.”

Therco targets markets including the oil, gas and power generation sectors.
