The Topping Pie Company hits shelves in Booths

The Topping Pie Company has secured a deal with regional grocer Booths to supply a new range of speciality pork pies.

The deal will see the family-run business supply four new pies to be sold at Booths’ 30 deli counters, including a Bramley apple-topped pie created specially for the retailer.

Booths will also sell the Toppings Dinky caramelised red onion-topped pork pie, a pickle and cheese-topped pork pie and a Stilton-topped pork pie.

The manufacturer’s larger Huntsman pork and chicken pie is also now available at Booths.

Matthew Topping, sales director at The Topping Pie Company, said the business was “delighted” to introduce new products through Booths.

The Toppings Pie Company was founded in 1991, when Maggie Topping began selling homemade pies through the original butchery business.

After finding popularity at the Doncaster butchers shop, which had started 30 years earlier, the business established a separate bakery division to meet customer demand.

The firm has since grown to 50 staff and won awards for its produce. It recently secured a deal with online supermarket Ocado.
