Nick Prescott, industrial property specialist at Knight Frank, who advised Grant & Bowman, said: “In the past couple of years we have seen confidence return to the industrial property market in Yorkshire - and the letting of a 100,000 sq ft warehouse at Leeds-Bradford Airport Industrial Estate Business Park is a telling demonstration of this.

“We were delighted to broker this important deal, which enables a successful UK company like Grant & Bowman to expand into superb new premises. This is a high-quality business park, strategically located between Leeds and Bradford and next to the airport. I am sure it will help Grant & Bowman to expand their already successful UK operation.”

David Bowman, managing director of Grant & Bowman, said: “Our 85,000 sq ft warehouse at Bradford, which we use for storing our toys, is now full and so it made perfect sense to lease another large, well-located and well-appointed unit in Yorkshire. The competitive rental was also a key factor. We are specialist traders in branded, discounted toys and other household goods, supplying retailers across the UK and Europe, so location was a prime consideration for us. This industrial estate, next door to the airport, was perfect.”

The landlords, Learmonth Property Investment Company, which is part of Broadland Properties, were advised by property consultancies GVA Bilfinger and Gent Visick.
