Tracsis signs deal with rail company

The Leeds-based group said the unnamed operator will use its TrainTRACS and TRACSRoster software, which automate and speed up train crew scheduling. Tracsis said the deal reflects growing use of its TRACS software suite.

Chief executive John McArthur said: “We are delighted to have signed this agreement which not only secures revenue for the next three years but validates our continued efforts to bring resource optimisation systems and technologies to our target passenger rail market.”

David Lowery, analyst at Faraday Research, said Tracsis looks undervalued by the market, and should benefit from the High Speed Two rail project.

“Tracsis looks incredibly well placed to profit from the undoubtedly fat consultancy fees that could be generated as a result,” he said. “It’s got a stronghold over a lucrative niche industry and its rock-solid finances underpin its growth potential.”
