Transline's success drive thanks to contract wins

DRIVER and industrial recruitment firm Transline-Resource yesterday revealed that its full year turnover and profits had soared after it sealed a string of new contracts.

The Halifax-based company's turnover was up 50 per cent from 16.9m to 25.4m, while profits rose 300 per cent to 1m.

Last year, 23 contracts were secured with some of the country's biggest retailers and distributors.

Transline Resource's business base in the Midlands and the North

expanded and it won contracts in Scotland and London.

Transline-Resource lost its lucrative Woolworths contracts at the end of 2008, when the high street chain collapsed.

Joint managing director, Paul Beasley, said: "Following the collapse of Woolworths, the company has moved forward with new contracts, increased sales and record profitability."

By the end of 2010 the firm expects to double its size and achieve turnover of 50m.

Jon Taylor, the joint managing director, said this goal would be achieved by "continuing to exceed client expectations" and pursuing new contracts.

He added: "With the arrival of our Manchester-based training headquarters, we will also continue to invest in people and training."
