Dr Gibson, who founded Hessle-based Agencia, was described by Keith Hunter, the Humberside Police and Crime Commissioner, as “a gentleman and a gentle man. Incisive, intelligent, consistent and wise, he built a company that added value to organisations working in the vital health and justice arenas.”

Dr Gibson formed Agencia in 1997, and the company has provided services including team building, business planning, conflict resolution and coaching for a client list that has included the Ministry of Justice, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Department of Health and numerous probation trusts.

Kath Lavery, chairman of Yorkshire Ambulance Service, remembered him as an “essential and calm” influence when he was appointed as a consultant to help set up the Hull City Health Care Partnership. Dr Gibson was Agencia’s chairman at the time of his death. Many of his friends and family attended a thanksgiving service at Bodmin Road church in Bransholme.
