Two new faces for vital Link

BUSINESS Link Yorkshire has announced two senior appointments as part of its strategy to encourage more people to become entrepreneurs.

Kate McIntyre, takes up the role of operations director and Paul Stevenson is the new director of partnerships and marketing.

Helen West, Business Link's chief executive, said: "Kate and Paul's roles are vital to the development of our services.

"Their work will help Business Link further improve our service to our customers and free the way for us to push forward our overall objectives – supporting businesses in Yorkshire and the Humber, safeguarding jobs and building a strong local economy."

Ms McIntyre is a chartered accountant. She started her career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and has worked at a number of organisations, including

Skipton Building Society, First Direct, AXA PPP healthcare and HBOS.

Her achievements include leading the team that launched First Direct on to the internet. She helped support thousands of customers through the flooding of the summer of 2007.

Mr Stevenson is a marketing and business development specialist who has worked across media, telecommunications and e-commerce.
