Vaporised fogging machines, foot-controlled door openings and select menu - how Everybodys Guiseley bar will reopen this Saturday

Vaporised fogging machines, foot-controlled door openings and a select menu will all be implemented at a Leeds bar reopening this weekend.

Everybodys Social - based in Guiseley - will reopen its doors on July 4.

Just some of the extra measures visitors can expect to see include a preferred (although not essential) pre-booking system for both food and drink, in order to best manage customer flow, avoid disappointment and ensure social distancing.

On arrival at the venue, customers won’t need to touch a thing, with both foot-controlled door openings and hand sanitiser in place, along with additional door hosts.

The team will also have all the necessary PPE ordered and ready to use, if required.

Adam Lewis - Director of Twisted Bars, who own Everybodys said: “We can’t wait to welcome our team and customers back.

"Over the last couple of months, we have missed them all but have been busy in the background.

"We’ve been planning the most important part of reopening, which is the safety of our staff and customers, and I am proud of all the items we have put in place.”

Once seated, customers will be asked to order via a special ‘At Table’ app that is set to be ready in time for opening.

The app will allow for both contactless ordering and payment.

Hand sanitiser will be available on all tables.

Even though a deep clean and full sanitization has already taken place, the local cleaning company used, ‘2nd Nature Cleaning’ will also complete an additional sanitisation process every day, on top of their usual procedures, Adam said.

Adam said: “Following an unbelievable response and the great feedback received via a survey from our customers, the Government guidelines and a Covid 19 risk assessment from a specialist external company - we took the decision to invest heavily and exceed both our usual high hygiene standards and what is expected.

"We wanted to show that safety is our number one priority and wanted, both staff and customers, to feel as comfortable as possible when they visit us.”

On top of these new measures the site will have a specialist deep clean sanitation completed weekly with a vaporised fogging machine.

Although re-opening will undoubtedly bring some challenges, the team feel like they are well prepared and are excited to welcome everyone back:

James Garside – General Manager of the site said “We believe all of these measures together, is as much as we can practically do to make our site as clean and safe as possible and we will be one of very few hospitality businesses, who have put as many safety procedures in place”.

“We are obviously super excited about welcoming our team and customers back but do ask that everyone plays their own part by being a little more patient for orders and ensuring they adhere to government guidelines, all throughout the customer journey with us.”

“It will be amazing to hear the buzz and atmosphere back in the venue, after such a long time, and to be able to play our part in making people smile again. We would like to thank all our customers and the local community, especially our neighbours, for all their fabulous support whilst we have been closed. It has been amazing.”

The site will be open with a selected menu to ensure safety and consistently high standards but will include a good variety and lots of popular dishes. Included on the main menu are: Fish and Chips (GF) and locally sourced, House Recipe Southern Fried Chicken (GF). As well as Handmade Burgers, Burritos, a brand-new sandwich menu and a brand-new desserts menu. Alongside plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. With all their most sought-after drinks available, including the popular Pornstar and Espresso Martinis.

The venue also plans to open a click and collect take-away service for food, once they feel they have got the safety and experience right with their in house offering.

During July, there is 20% off all food and drink for ‘Blue Light Card’ holders - one of their ways of saying “Thank You” to key workers.
