'‹'‹Shopping centre developer '‹Hammerson said its premium shopping malls have produced a 'strong year' for the business, buoyed by an increase in confidence among shoppers.
The group’s upmarket £165m Victoria Gate development in Leeds is now 68 per cent pre-let and has 83 per cent of the site under offer and in-negotiations. It is on track to open later this year and has already signed up a flagship John Lewis store, which will be the biggest outside London. When combined with Victoria Quarter, the property giant said the new scheme will create the largest premium retail and leisure destination in Northern England.
