The Weather Lottery expands with marketing buy

INTERNET lottery and gaming company The Weather Lottery has bought an online marketing company, ClickNow, to expand its presence in the charity sector.

The Doncaster-based company said it bought ClickNow, which provides supporters of charities, schools and not-for-profit organisations with a source of extra revenue through online marketing, for five million shares worth 48,750.

TWL said it intends to integrate ClickNow with its own lottery products.

"ClickNow provides a service to charities which is both complimentary to that provided by TWL and reinforces the TWL commitment to the charitable sector," it said.

"It moreover enables TWL to add additional markets to those already offered to its existing clients without any significant increase in its overheads."

The purchase depends on getting the acquisition shares admitted to trading on AIM.

The group added it has also issued 46.6 million new ordinary shares, which it also hopes to be trading on AIM by October 11.

"TWL is expanding its fund raising services to the charitable, sporting, political and media sectors. ClickNow is a logical addition to its armoury which will significantly enhance its ability to meet these objectives," said TWL's chairman, Lord Razzall.
