What can I do next? Well, the former Great Britain rugby league captain Jamie Peacock has launched a new venture that will help firms achieve their potential.

Mr Peacock aims to give local firms an insight into the world of sport, and what it takes to be successful on and off the field. The ex-Leeds Rhinos legend, who is now head of rugby at Hull Kingston Rovers, will use the experience he gained during a 20-year career to bring firms together with his new JP Business Club.

Mr Peacock said: “When you work in sport and live and breathe it for so many years, you can take for granted just how special, exciting and rewarding it can be. This business club will be about introducing that side of rugby league to new people and showing them what can be achieved with the right approach. After hanging up my boots at the end of last season, I’ve become more involved with the commercial side of the sport and it’s something that genuinely excites me.

“Rugby league is a brilliant game that appeals to such a wide variety of people and there’s a lot of untapped potential in terms of what it can offer to businesses, and vice-versa.

“This will be the first business club of its kind for a professional rugby league side in Yorkshire and I’m looking forward to what it can achieve, particularly in Hull, where I’m already learning that there are some fantastic companies doing lots of good things and just in need of a platform to kick on to the next level.”
