Wilson Field opens new office to help firms in distress

​Turnaround specialist Wilson Field ​is to open a new office in Durham to serve the North East​.​

​After expanding from its headquarters in Sheffield, the firm now ​has offices in Leeds, Bristol, Cardiff, London and Swansea​.

The​ Durham office​ will be​ manned by four financial consultants​.

Wilson Field ​said it has embarked on an aggressive growth plan since its creation in 2001​.

T​he firm aims to help​ companies to continue trading when faced with financial difficulty​. In cases where the business is unable to continue trading​ it ​will act in an administrative capacity.

Ben Smith, senior consultant at the Durham office, said: “The new Durham office for Wilson Field continues the company’s philosophy of being very accessible and friendly to businesses which are facing difficulties.

“The work we undertake requires us to fully mesh with our customers and cannot easily be undertaken at distance and so establishing this outpost allows us to properly service a broad area across the North East of the country.”

Based at Aycliffe Business Park, in Newton Aycliffe, the office will serve a swathe of contracts across the North East from Wetherby in the south, to Northumberland at its northernmost point.
