Yorkshire and Clydesdale banks help KPMG employees get a foothold on London property ladder

KPMG has joined forces with Yorkshire and Clydesdale banks to help its employees get a foothold on the London property ladder.

A spokesman for Yorkshire and Clydesdale said the initiative was part of a new employee benefits package at the Big Four accountancy firm.

Simon Collins, KPMG’s UK chairman, told the Financial Times that owning a home is “fast becoming a fairytale for all but society’s wealthiest”.

He said he is raising the issue with policymakers and clients.

A spokesman for Yorkshire and Clydesdale told The Yorkshire Post: “We are offering them a rate which we believe is competitive.

“It will be up to employees to decide if that’s a product they wish to take.”
