Yorkshire to create new jobs

YORKSHIRE Building Society said it plans to create 50 new jobs in Bradford by the end of the year.

Full-time case managers will be taken on at Accord Mortgages, the intermediary lending subsidiary of Yorkshire Building Society. The positions are based at its customer service centre in Bradford, where 1,700 people are employed.

Yorkshire Building Society’s sales and marketing director Ian Bullock said it is “great news for the local and regional economy”.

Total mortgage balances, including Accord, reached £27.5bn for the first half of 2012.
