Yorkshire insurance broker Henderson sold to Aon

One of Yorkshire's biggest insurance brokers in Yorkshire, Henderson Insurance Broking Group, has been acquired by Aon for an undisclosed sum.

Aon, a global professional services firm specialising in areas such as risk, retirement and health solutions, has agreed terms with Henderson and expected to complete the deal in December.

Leeds-based Henderson employs more than 400 people across 16 offices, predominantly in the north of England, but with clients and business across the UK.

The group will be part of Aon Risk Solutions UK, which provides risk and insurance solutions and services to clients across an expansive range of industries and specialisms.

Julie Page, chief executive of ARS UK, said he was “delighted” with the acquisition.
