Yorkshire steel strengthens Highland road link

Steel from Yorkshire is helping complete the picture postcard view at Rannoch Moor in the Highlands of Scotland – with the steelwork for a replacement bridge at Loch Ba as part of £2.2m improvements to the A82 coming from Allerton Steel Ltd.

Company spokesman Paul Robinson said: 'On my first visit to the sitE there was a foot of snow and temperatures of minus 12 Centigrade and due to the remoteness of the site we were concerned.

'By comparison on the day the bridge was installed, the weather was kind to us and our first project with RJ McLeod, the civil contractor, went very well.'
