The Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards celebrate all that is great about the region’s corporate community.

The awards are open to companies of all shapes and sizes and highlight the inspirational work and unsung heroes in Yorkshire’s business community.

Patrick McLoughlin, the coal miner turned Cabinet Minister, is the keynote speaker at this year’s awards.

The Conservative Member of Parliament for Derbyshire Dales, who worked at Littleton Colliery in Cannock before entering politics, is Secretary of State for Transport and responsible for transport strategy, including economic growth and climate change, and high-speed rail.

DLA Piper, Goldman Sachs, PwC and Yorkshire Bank are main sponsors for the awards programme, which culminates in a glittering ceremony at The Queens hotel in Leeds on October 31. Bradford University School of Management, Drax, O2, QBE Insurance and thebigword group are associate sponsors. Today is the last day to submit entries.
