Yours for $2.3m: a private lunch with Warren Buffett

THE chairman of a Chinese company that develops online games has agreed to pay $2,345,678 for a private lunch with billionaire investor Warren Buffett, winning a charity auction.

The winner can invite up to seven friends to eat with Mr Buffett at the Smith & Wollensky steakhouse in Manhattan.

The 84-year-old will talk about almost anything, including philanthropy and life, but not what he is buying and selling.

Mr Buffett is worth $69.2bn, ranking fourth worldwide, and is donating nearly all his wealth to charity.

His investments include Northern Powergrid, which is responsible for keeping the power on in homes and businesses in Yorkshire.
