“Good food and fellowship go a long way to combating loneliness and isolation and allow those attending to find out more about other events and support available to them and their families,” she said.

“We are delighted to announce that Peter Wright, The Yorkshire Vet, will be joining us and giving a short talk after lunch. All are welcome.”

Anyone in the farming community is welcome to reserve a place at the lunch by contacting the Yorkshire Rural Support Network via email on Kated@yas.co.uk or by calling 07912495604.

Places can also be booked at the Gavel Café at Thirsk Auction Mart.

A raffle will be held at the event to raise funds for farming help charities.
