Donaldson's Vet Matt Smith carries out eye surgery on a reindeer at Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley.

The Yorkshire Vet first hit our screens in 2015 but has been such a ratings success that it is now in it’s 11th series.

Donaldson's director Martin Paterson said: “We are excited to be involved in The Yorkshire Vet series and look forward to viewers meeting our talented team of vets and our clients.

"As a modern, independent, Yorkshire based Vet Practice, that was founded several decades before James Herriot was born, we feel certain that viewers will enjoy seeing how modern veterinary care continues to evolve.

Mr Smith said: "I’ve been a vet for about six years now and did not think for one minute that I would be part of The Yorkshire Vet.

"I’ve been lucky to meet so many great people throughout these years. I am so proud of everyone and excited to share our stories with you.'

Vet David Melleney added: "As vets in Yorkshire, we are privileged to look after so many amazing animals and I am delighted that we have an opportunity to share some of their incredible stories.”
