The largest showcase for international universities in the UK is being extended this year to meet the continued demand for information about studying abroad.

The announcement by the Student World, which is now in its third year of organising the events, comes as the main UCAS deadline for this year’s applications to UK universities approaches next week.

Latest figures for applications to UK universities in 2013 show a six per cent fall, following a decline of students taking up places in 2012 when tuition fees were trebled to up to £9,000 a year in England.

Jemma Davies, from the Student World, said: “We have seen an increase of up to 25 per cent in both the attendance of students and overseas universities since the first Student World Fair was held in 2011.”
