Principal Sue Woodroofe said: “This has been a tremendously difficult year for students, families and school staff, following the abrupt end of face-to-face schooling and the restrictions of lockdown.

“Our students were disappointed to lose the opportunity to sit their examinations; however we are pleased that the assessment process has recognised their consistent hard work in senior school. Teaching staff followed Ofqual’s guidance diligently to produce a fair outcome for every student, through honest and accurate centre assessment grades.

“I am extremely proud of our GCSE students, and very appreciative of their parents and school staff who have tirelessly supported students through this very challenging period. I am hugely looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school in September."
