GCSE results: How Yorkshire stacks up against the rest of the country

Yorkshire has lowest level of A* to C GCSE grades being achieved in the country although the region’s results are also one of the most improved.

The proportion of entries getting at least a C grade was 65.3 per cent this year. This was less than any other Government region in the country.

However it was also a 0.4 per cent improvement on the previous year.

Yorkshire has had the lowest level of A* to C grades in the country for at least the past five years.
