It was rated sixth in the world for the quality of its lectures by the respondents and also scored highly for its libraries and teaching.

It was also in top five in the UK for eight other measures including laboratories, employability and marking criteria.

Andrew Disbury, director of the university’s international office said: “The fact that Leeds Metropolitan has outperformed all its peer universities to rank in the top few of all UK universities is a great result and reflects all the hard work that colleagues at our university put in to ensure that international students have a high quality experience and excellent teaching.”

The ISB tracks the opinions of more than 400,000 students across the world. This is the fourth time Leeds Met has been assessed through the ISB.
