School place for producer

A YORKSHIRE film producer has secured a coveted place at the prestigious National Film and Television School after launching his own production company with the help of Hull University.

Chris Hees, who runs Film Rise Productions, has secured a place on the MA Film and Television course in producing.

He launched his company as a tenant at Hull University’s Enterprise Centre in 2009 and has been successfully producing short films and videos for the public and private sector.

However his goal is to produce large-scale feature films on a regular basis.

He said: “The school offers industry-standard courses and first-class training opportunities for people wanting to get into the film industry.”
