Would-be builders invited to learn without waiting at college
It is the first time students have been able to join the college at this time of year.
The college said it was proving popular with young people, those looking for a career change and workers already employed in the construction industry who wanted to develop new skills.

“Plus there are always people out there who want a career change or want to learn additional skills.
“Usually they will have to wait until September to get into education but we’re giving them an alternative option.
“As the UK’s only specialist further education construction college we have the capacity to enrol students now across a wide range of courses and give them the extra tutoring to catch-up with those students who joined in September. Anyone interested should contact us now and in most cases they will be able to start learning their new trade almost immediately.”
Leeds College of Building has more than 8,000 students and offers apprenticeships, higher and further education qualifications.
