Covid-19 deaths: This is how many people have died with Covid-19 in each Yorkshire area

A report found this week that serious errors and delays at the hands of the Government and scientific advisers cost thousands of lives during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The study, from the cross-party Science and Technology Committee and the Health and Social Care Committee, said the UK’s preparation for a pandemic was far too focused on flu, while ministers waited too long to push through lockdown measures in early 2020. Here are the number of people who died and had Covid written on their death certificate for each local authority in Yorkshire, up to September 24, 2021.
