Further 55 people dead after testing positive for Covid in Yorkshire hospitals

A further 55 people have died after testing positive for Covid-19, according to the latest figures.

Figures released by NHS England on Thursday, January 21 show 789 deaths were recorded in the country's hospitals in the 24 hours to 4pm on Wednesday, January 20.

The deaths took place between October 20 2020 to January 19 2021, with the time taken for positive results to be received among the potential factors in a delay between a death happening and being recorded.
