Location of two new coronavirus deaths in Yorkshire revealed according to latest figures

A total of two new coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Yorkshire according to latest figures.

The deaths were patients in the care of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust respectively.

The death toll has now reached 2,941 in the county.

Leeds has the highest number of deaths in Yorkshire, with 340 deaths in the city from the virus according to NHS England figures.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.

Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
