A further five coronavirus deaths have been recorded at hospitals in Yorkshire, the latest figures have revealed.

It's the lowest daily coronavirus death toll recorded in Yorkshire hospitals since records began.

The NHS England data reflects deaths from the latest reporting period from 5pm on Friday, June 12 to 5pm on Saturday, June 13.

The rise of five deaths brings the total number of Covid-19 deaths at Yorkshire's hospitals to 2,725.

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death in hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.

The new deaths confirmed across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - 1
