Police caution group of 20 men playing football in Leeds sports park

Police found a group of men playing football in a Leeds sports park despite UK lockdown measures.

Officers were approached by concerned residents in Pudsey who claimed to have seen a large group playing football on Sunday, April 26.

The officers went to Woodhall Sports Pavillion where they found 15 to 20 men.

The men were reminded of social distancing laws.

Officers from the West Yorkshire Police Leeds West team said: "Sunday Afternoon a number of residents approached local PCSO’s saying they'd witnessed 15 – 20 males playing football on Woodhall park Pavaillion.

"Officers arrived to find a large group of males, some of which were spoken to in regards to social distancing.

"Please remember, during the current pandemic we must emphasise the guidelines set by the government in regards to social distancing."

- One form of exercise per day, either alone or with people you live with

- For a medical need, such as a doctor or hospital visit, or to take care of the vulnerable

- To go to work, but only if this cannot be done from home
