Superdry store in The Broadway shopping centre forced to close after confirmed coronavirus case

A store in a popular West Yorkshire shopping centre has been forced to close after a confirmed coronavirus case.

The Superdry shop - in The Broadway, Bradford - has closed after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus, the shopping centre management confirmed to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

It is not known when the store will reopen.

The shopping centre said they will 'continue to follow' government guidelines by ensuring customers are socially distancing and sanitising their hands.

The Broadway confirmed other retailers in the shopping centre are continuing to trade as normal.

A spokesperson for The Broadway said: "Superdry has confirmed to The Broadway management team a member of staff has tested positive for Covid-19.

"We are awaiting feedback from Superdry on a reopening date but can assure you that the rest of our retailers are continuing to trade as normal.

"The Broadway will continue to strictly follow government guidelines by ensuring customers are socially distancing and sanitising their hands.

"We also fully support that wearing a face covering is required in all shops and around the rest of the centre and encourage shoppers to be mindful of their own and other people’s safety.

"We can assure you that The Broadway is continuing to work hard for your safety in accordance with government advice and keeping our staff and customers safe continues to be of paramount importance.
