Three new coronavirus deaths recorded at Yorkshire hospitals

Three new coronavirus deaths have been recorded at Yorkshire hospitals, according to the latest figures.

Two people died at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and one person died at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

It brings the total number of people who have died after testing positive for Covid-19 at Yorkshire hospitals to 2,914.

Across the country, the Government said 41,397 people have died in the UK within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19, as of 5pm on Tuesday, an increase of 16 on the day before.

Separate figures published by the UK’s statistics agencies show there have now been 57,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

The Government also said that as of 9am on Wednesday, there had been a further 812 lab-confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

Overall, 321,098 cases have been confirmed.
