Total of 26 new Covid deaths recorded in Yorkshire

A total of 26 new Covid deaths have been recorded in Yorkshire.

NHS England releases updated figures each day showing the dates of every coronavirus-related death at hospitals in England, often including previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.

Further deaths have been recorded by trusts across Yorkshire.

The highest number of new deaths were recorded by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust with seven deaths.

In Leeds, a total of 420 people have died from Covid.

The death toll from the virus in Yorkshire now stands at 3,391.

The new deaths have been recorded by the following trusts:

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust: 1

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 1

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust: 3

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 5

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust: 1

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 1

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust: 7

Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust: 1

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust: 2

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust: 2

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust: 1
