Yorkshire sees record daily death total as confirmed Covid-19 fatalities rise by 60

Yorkshire has seen a record daily death total in the latest figures from NHS England, with confirmed coronavirus fatalities rising by 60.

It brings the total confirmed coronavirus deaths at Yorkshire hospitals up to 672, accurate as of 5pm on Saturday April 11.

A further 657 coronavirus deaths have been confirmed across hospitals in England, with the total now 9,594.

Patients were aged between 26 and 100 years old and 42 of the 657 patients (aged between 30 and 98 years old) had no known underlying health condition.

Their families have been informed.

The new deaths across each hospital trust in Yorkshire are as follows:

Airedale NHS Foundation Trust - 6

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 2

Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 5

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust - 9

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 3

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - 1

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust - 2

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust - 4

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 9

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 4

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Sheffield Health & Social Care NHS Foundation Trust - 0
