Lesley Garrett stars in charity night of opera

OPERA star Lesley Garrett is to star at an event at the House of Lords later this month in support of a South Yorkshire-based charity.

An Evening of Opera aims to raise funds for Lost Chord, which organises musical sessions to help people suffering with dementia.

The Rotherham-based charity trains musicians to visit more than 80 residential and day care centres to hold sessions, giving sufferers a way to communicate and helping stimulate their brain.
