NHS bosses seek nominees for nursing award

HOSPITAL chiefs have urged the public to nominate nurses who have gone beyond the call of duty.

South Tees NHS trust is inviting patients and their families to nominate nurses and midwives for a Nightingale Award.

Nurse consultant Chris Ward said: “Our staff continually work hard to improve patient safety and ensure our patients have the best hospital experience possible but if you know a nurse or midwife who deserves an extra special thank you then why not put them forward for a Nightingale Award?”

Eligible staff work at the Friarage in Northallerton, the James Cook in Middlesbrough, the Friary Hospital, Richmond, and the Lambert Hospital, Thirsk.
