Rother Valley Country Park warns people not to congregate otherwise it will be forced to close popular service

A popular Yorkshire country park has warned people not to congregate at the site, otherwise it will be forced to close due to people breaching Covid-19 regulations.

Rother Valley Country Park, near Rotherham is currently open for local residents to take their daily exercise.

The attraction's cafe is also open for take-away food and drink, however staff say this service may have to close due to people congregating close to the cafe area.

A sign, posted at the park, and on its social media sites warns that if people do not adhere to rules, the cafe may have to stop its take-out service.

The warning reads: "We apologise for the temporary closure of the central seating area of the courtyard.

"Our cafe is able to offer a take-away service only.

"Please help us to continue to provide this service by not congregating in the courtyard or sitting on the walls to enjoy your food or drink."
