On the grapevine

Morrisons in York will hold a customer wine tasting evening on Monday, October 25 at 7pm when Arabella Woodrow, Morrisons' own Master of Wine, will host a tasting of some of their range. There will be a light buffet and tickets are free so sign up on 01904 633365.

NZ limited edition

The second vintage of Kevin Judd's exceptional New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, Greywacke, will arrive next week at Halifax Wine Company (www.halifaxwinecompany.com). Priced at 14.95 a bottle, it captures the zest and minerally depth that has disappeared from most of the big brand Kiwi wines. Kevin was head winemaker at Cloudy Bay for 25 years. Production is truly limited by the size of the winery, not by some clever marketing ruse, so buy it while you can.
