Wold Top Brewery has been awarded a Gold Medal by the Society of Independent Brewers for its gluten-free beer, Against the Grain.

Made in response to the increasing number of people who are gluten intolerant, Against the Grain is made from maize, malt, hops and yeast as well as pure, chalk-filtered water from Wold Top's own borehole. To celebrate 10 years of business in Pateley Bridge, Nidderdale Fine Wine will hold a wine dinner in the plush surroundings of Ripley Castle on May 10. Andrew Wigan, winemaker at Peter Lehmann in Australia, will present a range of his wines, including several old vintages of Peter Lehmann's magnificent Stonewell sourced from the winery's museum stock.
