This weekend we are giving Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post readers the chance to win a scrumptious Montpelier Gift Box from Bettys.

Grainger plc, which is constructing build-to-rent apartments on the site of the old Yorkshire Post Newspapers headquarters, on Wellington Street, Leeds, is considering what to call the new building and is asking our readers for suggestions.

The person who submits the best idea, as chosen by Grainger plc, will win the Bettys gift box worth £75.

The company is retaining the iconic tower that displayed our newspapers’ logos and digital clock and is set to finish work on the 242 new rental apartments by summer next year, 2021.

Its marketing team has already come up with some ideas for a name that they believe should reflect the site’s newspaper heritage. These include The Print Yard; The Post Works; Byline and The Type Foundry.

Grainger Head of Communications Julie Deighton says: “We decided that the strongest route to naming the building was via the history and the site’s connection with The Yorkshire Post and Yorkshire Evening Post so we would like the name to reflect that newspaper heritage.”
