New homes in Helmsley attract international buyers

A new luxury housing scheme in the pretty market town of Helmsley is generating high levels of interest from buyers from as far away as Dubai, Australia and Singapore.

Raven ST John’s Black Swan Yard development is under construction in the centre of town to the rear of the renowned Black Swan Hotel. It will include 17, two and three-bedroom, stone-built, cottage-style houses and apartments set within a gated community and surrounded by landscaped gardens. Phase one of the scheme, the first five properties, will be finished in July, while all 17 homes are due for completion by early 2017.

Prices at the development range from £395,000 for a two-bedroomed house, to £495,000 for a barn conversion with three en suite bedrooms and parking for two cars.

With the award-winning Black Swan Hotel’s services and facilities available to residents, including room service-style delivery of meals from the hotel restaurant, and preferential rates agreed at the nearby Verbena Spa, the development is aimed at home buyers in search of a rural retreat.
