“Reluctantly, we decided that if we did build our dream eco-house we probably wouldn’t live there long enough to justify the expense of building it and so have decided to give someone else the opportunity.”

The planned two-storey house with open-plan kitchen and dining area is designed with views out over the woods. There is an exotic variety of trees on the land, including a cypress from each continent, an Indian bean tree, walnut trees and fruit trees. The woods are also under-planted with daffodils, bluebells, snowdrops and aconites, and overflow with foxgloves in summer.
