Julia, also known for her appearances on Britain’s Best Walks and Australia with Julia Bradbury, is renowned for her genuine passion for the countryside.

Fans will have the chance to meet her during the two-day event at the Great Yorkshire Showground, on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20.

Now in its 17th year, Countryside Live attracts around 12,000 visitors across two days. As well as family activities, 2,000 animals converge on the showground over the two days to compete in a series of events.

There are also plenty of stands to browse, horticultural classes and farriery competitions.

There’ll also be the chance to discover the free online resource dedicated to the outdoors, The Outdoor Guide (TOG), which presenter Julia co-founded with her sister Gina.

Julia said: “I cannot wait for a weekend of fun and games fronting Countryside Live 2019.

“Come along for live talks about the great outdoors, all your favourite alfresco activities and arena shows, local food and drink, and to meet the charities and businesses taking part in what’s set to be a fantastic few days celebrating our countryside.”

The two-day event is organised by Yorkshire Agricultural Society which runs the Great Yorkshire Showground. Events at the Showground contribute £47 million a year to the local economy.

Show Director Charles Mills said: “Julia’s passion for the outdoors really fits with our two-day celebration of the countryside.

“We look forward to hearing her story live on stage on both days and fans will also have the chance to meet Julia as well as enjoying a fun-packed family day out.”

He added: “Countryside Live will be bigger and better this year, there are plenty of animals to see and there’ll be even more activities for children – which will all be free once inside!”

As well as lots of countryside action, Stray FM’s Will Smith and Nick Hancock will be back to host quizzes and prize giveaways in the Tipsy Heifer pub.

Tickets for Countryside Live 2019 are now on sale, with early bird discounts available and free entry for members of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society on production of their membership card.

Advance tickets cost £14 for adults (£16 on the gate), and £7 for children (£8 on the day). Families of two adults and up to three children (under-18s) can save with an advance family ticket for £40 (£45 on the day).

Parking is free. No dogs allowed in the Showground.
